Enya was our first saluki rescued through the Northern Saluki Club Welfare. She was 14 months old when we brought her home in December 1999.
Enya was a real sweetie. She had such a kind nature, quiet and gentle. She always walked behind me whether on or off the lead, until that is she saw a cat or other wild life, when she would take off.
The photo is of Enya aged 3 years.

Millie (Sufeina Pebble of Shaybani) we bought in 2002. She was so pretty I fell for her at once. I was concerned she may be scared of Enya and my afghan boy, Barney, but when I woke up next morning she was asleep on the sofa with Enya. She loved to sit on my knee and put her head on my shoulder when I relaxed on the sun lounger outside.
Millie loved life both in England and then in Spain after we moved there in 2004. She loved to chase birds , play with other dogs and relax in front of the fire with Enya.
The photo was taken in September 05, a month before her death from lymphoma.

Olivia (Daxlore Bisou of Shaybani) we bought in Summer 2009. Olivia has the most beautiful head and lovely, typical movement. Olivia soon settled in with our rescued dogs, Freddy the cocker spaniel and Ibizan Hound, Khayli. Olivia loved to run around the land on her own and chase rabbits. Her idea of playing was to run behind Freddy and hold onto the coat at the end of his docked tail. When she started this she was smaller than Freddy, but she continued this practice even when she towered over him.
Olivia was bought to show and so commenced her show career in Spain at 6 months old, but it soon became obvious that she hated strangers to touch her and at most shows she would not relax, so as soon as she gained her Spanish title she was retired from the ring.

Freya (Daxlore Harani of Shaybani) came to our home as a 3 month old puppy in September 2012. A French man had originally chosen her but Helen was concerned she wouldn't have the best home and so asked me if I would like to take her. I was impressed with Freya's photos; for me Freya has a wonderful conformation and totally balanced outline, making her so sound when moving with her typical saluki gait.
From the onset it was obvious that Freya was much less of a loner than Olivia. She screamed for two nights, until Khayli allowed her to move into bed with her. Even now, Freya and Khayli often sleep in one dog bed, whilst Olivia has another with the third empty.
Freya loved the show ring from day one. She loves other dogs and always likes to FREYA 26/5/2012 - date please. Consequently she has been well-admired by many judges.
